After a bad virus infection I had to have my hard drive wiped clean and had windows reinstalled. Since that was done I can’t play graphic games (such as Empires of the earth). I should also add, I think, that I’m in China, so there is little or no English software available. Can anybody help?
Thanks in anticipation.
Dennis.
Answer:
how did you wipe your hard drive? did you use the recovery disc that came with it? recovery discs have the drivers built in for the hard ware as well as the operating system. if your recovery disc is one that came with the laptop, and it consists of two discs, then usually one is the drivers disc. i suggest installing the drivers disc again,if you are still having problems then you can search the net for the drivers of whatever type graphics card you have if you're not sure what type you have, you can find this in control panel, system, and then go to device manager and it should have display adapters listed, once you click on that it will tell you what type card is in there.
other wise you can contact the manufacturer.
Answer:
you may need to download a driver for your graphics card…
Answer:
you need your graphic drivers. your recovery disc should have included all drivers that are needed by your machine. alternatively, you can also go to the manufacturer's website of your laptop and download the drivers from there.
