I have a quick Excel question.
I am trying to do a project, and in order to do so, I need to install the "Analysis ToolPak" under add-ins.
I go to Tools>Add-ins>"Analysis ToolPak> OK
and it doesn't show up, when I believe that it should. I checked the 'add-ins' folder, and it was empty, so my question is do I have to download these somehow? I thought you should just be able to load them by doing this.
Do I have to do anything special to get it to show up under the Tools menu?
Thanks for any help.
Answer:
Since the Analysis ToolPak didn't get installed originally, you need to insert your original Office CD and do a custom install. Expand the list for Excel and then the list of add-ins. Make sure that you put a check mark next to Analysis ToolPak. Then finish the installation.
This will not remove or change anything that you have installed, it will simply add the Analysis ToolPak to your installation.
