trying to make computer run faster, what is this process and can i end it?

Hi. Gpdownloadmanager.exe is a process associated with Gallery Player from GalleryPlayer Media Networks. It isn't a microsoft process so its ok to end it.
If its running on startup you may also want to disable it from starting on startup, thus freeing more memory. If you want to do that, go to start –> run –> msconfig –> select the "startup" tab and disable "Gpdownloadmanager.exe" from there. Hope this helps.
