Zune Software Problems?

Author: admin

I just downloaded the Zune Software from Zune.net/setup, I ran the executable.

I plugged in my Zune and clicked next, everything seems fine.

But there are two problems!

Scenario One: When the setup program tries to start "preparing my computer" it loads, goes to 1% and then restarts, going back and forth from … to 1%

Scenario Two: The "preparing your computer" part loads to 99%, and then it stops. I waited 15 minutes until I killed the process….

System:

Windows XP Professional SP2

256MB RAM

533Mhz Processor

Answer:
I have seen this problem and it could be a tricky thing to fix, because first of all it is a Microsoft product and never runs the way it should. But first make sure you have all of the required windows updates downloaded and installed on your computer. I see you do have SP2 which is a good start. If that doesn't work or there are no other updates uninstall the Zune software and download the file again. save it to a location on your computer so it doesn't run from the Temp folder. Install it again, and run it again. If that doesn't work call Microsoft, maybe if enough people call they'll get the hint their product sucks.

Option 2: Get an iPod
