to ask question but never answer. Also won't allow me to chose best answer. The bar is missing. Any suggestions on how to fix the problem or is this due to older version not compatable with yahoo?

TTC, I'm about as computer illiterate as they come, but when a similar thing happened to me, and to a fellow r s'er, we resolved the problem by engaging Java script.
It's a relatively simple download, just be sure to read everything thoroughly and follow the instructions.
It could also be an issue with your browser. When I play here at q&a I use Firefox, but when I mail chat with my friend we're on Explorer. For some reason, my version of Firefox won't let me copy/paste in mail, but Explorer does. I don't know why this is, but these things happen.
Try reinstalling your browser if the Java download doesn't work.
I'm sure I haven't been very helpful, but no one else has answered so I thought I'd pass on what has worked for me. I'm not even exactly sure what you're asking, lol, but these are harmless things to try and they just might work. 
I've wondered why I haven't seen you around, and now I know. Best of luck with this.
