Ie8 Address bar problem?

I’ve IE8 Finale for Windows Vista. The problem is whenever I click the drop down button on the address bar it doesn't drop down. I tried reinstalling 2 times but it didn't solve my problem. I wrote lots of websites on the address bar but when i click it it does not pop up. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

In world wide web explorer,
1. click on tools,
world wide web options,
click on content tab,
against auto complete, click settings,
under address bar,
check-browsing history
check favorites,
press ok.
Now try drop down window in address bar..
It will be true for web addresses entered manually in address bar.

2. click on tools,
internet options,
advanced
under browsing,
select, enable recommended sites,
press ok.

3.Each time you delete browsing history,address bar window
won’t drop down as related history has been deleted.
except the present web address.

Hello, Sorry about your problem. If I might make a recommendation, ditch IE8 and get Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Both of theses are so much faster. Firefox is highly user-customizable. Did you know that using an World wide web Explorer product makes you more likely to viruses. Studies show that you will receive less viruses (if any at all) using Firefox. Hope this Helps.
