okay, yesterday i closed down the black menu gadgets thing you get on the right hand side, and i've no idea how to get it back up?
Answer:
open start> program > accesories > windows side bar [or vista side bar perhaps].
then set on sidebar perferences -> begin with windows (or whatever it says) [if you want this gadget is automatically begin at startup

Start>Control Panel>Appearance and Personalization>Windows Sidebar Properties.
Put a check in the checkbox that says 'Start Sidebar when Windows starts'
But yeah, the guy above me is right when you want to open sidebar right away. If you do it his way, right-click on the sidebar icon that is in the task tray(where the icons and clock is) and click Properties and put a check in the checkbox that says 'Start Sidebar when Windows starts'
