I don't know how I erased or uninstalled Paint from my personal but I used it quite often and need it back. I’ve searched and search the internet for over a week and still can’t find anywhere I can download it. What am I doing wrong? It seems like this would be a very simple program to find and swift to install.

Can someone PLEASE tell me what website I can download it from? I really need it back on my personal pronto!!

If you help me to get this back on my PC YOU WILL BE REWARDED 10 BIG ONES!

Thanks!

Answer:
If you’ve Windows OS CD, you can restore MS pain.

If its XP, below are the steps

i) Open Control Panel

ii) Open Add/Remove Programs

iii) Choose “Add/Remove Windows Components” from the left pane.

iv) You will get a small window with list of utilities.

Click on “Accessories and Utilities” and choose Accessories again.

v) You can see “Paint” option, if it is unchecked, check it again.

vi) Once you navigate through windows install process, you will have mspaint in your system.

vi) If its already checked, try unchecking it for the first time. And check it the next time. (like uninstall and install again.)

Answer:
If it's REALLY deleted, you can get it back by going to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Click Add/Remove Windows Components and look under Accessories. Put the checkmark back into Paint. Windows should reinstall it.

There’s a good chance that the program is not missing though. You might have only lost the shortcut to it from your Begin menu. Try searching for mspaint.exe which is the real name for the program. You can click Begin, Run and type it in there. If the program runs, you never lost it at all. :-)

Answer:
Are you sure it's gone? It's usually in the Windows directory, the system32 folder and it's called mspaint.exe

If you can't find it under Accessories, see if it's still in the system32 folder and you can make a shortcut.

If it's truly gone, you can reinstall it thru add/remove programs, add/remove windows components, accessories and utilities. But you'll need an installation cd.

Answer:
I recommend you give mtPaint a try. Its 100% free and its actually a pretty decent graphic editor.

Answer:
Just in case ur problem isn't resolved yet, pls. try this. (But be very careful). Go to your 'windows' directory/folder ( dbl clk my comp.; open drive 'c' and the windws fldr shld be there), open it (u might recve a warning here but keep going ), look for “mspaint.exe” ( it's all in alphabetical order). If/when located, right click it and create a shortcut which you could place anywhere u like.( U also have a “shortcut to desktop” choice when u point 'send to'.).

Also try:

1. click start. than go to Run( or press “Window Key” and “R” on your keyboard)

2. type “mspaint” and press enter key

If mspaint come up than it is already installed.

If it does not.

3. click “start”, than click “control panel”

4. click “add or remove programs”

5. click “add/remove window components:

6. click ” accessories and utilities”

7. click “accessories”

8. put the check mark by “paint” by click on the box (if the box have the check mark than it is already installed on your system)

9. click OK or accept on all the menu and than it should work.

The above should work for most window format. at least in window xp
