I don't know what I did, but recently (past 3 or 4 days) my computer has been lagging horrible. A week ago it was running fine. I think it started when I went to a site and downloaded something to view a video.

Anwyay, my computer lags on the web and when opening/closing programs. Like WMP for example, when it opens it does not respond for a good minute then when it plays a song it could go unresponsive for 20 minutes. Also on the web I’m getting a lot of pop ups and general lag which I have not gotten before.

I also get random IE errors (something about C Runtime blah blah). Trend Micro won't run a scan either.. it says the scan failed and to seek on the internet help. I went to their site and did a free scan and nothing showed up but this problem hasn't happened prior to this week so I’m set on the fact that there is something in it.

well i think you need firefox it keeps almost all popups from coming up

third ir you have dialup id switch to a cable modem

id get a good virus protection [at least avg]

i dont think you even have a virus the problem is most likly you need to get a new graphics card and new ram if you get these [id get the newest version] it will stop a big amount of lagg
