I'm a tiny bit confused. If I have two separate hard drives, I’ll have to select one at start up correct, and I cannot share the information that's on one with the other one, correct? Does this mean I'll need more than one copy of XP/Vista?

Answer:
No, not correct. Second drive is just another place to keep things. When installing programs or storing data just tell it where you want it to go. Ususally the second drive is the D: drive. Just tell the program or data that’s where to go. The drive just needs to be formatted and you create folders just like your C: drive.

Answer:
no C drive is where the OS goes, other dirves are for additional storage
