How is software made?

Author: admin

A programmer writes a program using a computer language. There are many personal languages, but any one of them will do the job. A small program can be just a few lines of personal code, complex programs can run into the millions of lines. When I state “line” think of “sentence” if you were writing english, well, sort of, anyway.

Most languages require the programmer to run special utility programs called compilers and linkers to turn them into a form that the personal can understand. Personal don't comprehend the code that the programmer writes, so the compiler converts it to the 1s and 0s that the personal can run. Some languages use interpreters instead of compilers, but that's just a special kind of compiler that runs in real-time.
