What’s so special about Nero, that you’ve to ask through Yahoo Answers to ask for a free version. You know, that nobody can really help you with that.
What I can do is, help you in another way. Download and install Ashampoo Burning Studio. It isn’t only free, but as good or superior than Nero.
Just try it out and tell me am I right or am I right. I bet you like the program.

Though it is not the most moral way of doing things, buy a new dvd rom for your computer. It will come with Nero 6, or 7. Install the software, and return the dvd rom to the store where you purchased it.
