I’m about to use Nero 8 to back up my entire C drive, I have many massive files installed on my personal, Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop CS3, Adobe Premier, Visual C , Netbeans etc.
What will this backup do exactly? If I ever needed to restore this backup will my programs work straightaway? Or do I need to install them again? Thanx.
Answer:
A drive backup with Nero will probably make a copy of your hard drive and save it on multiple writable dvd discs.
If your hard drive messes up in the future you should be able to restore it from your backup discs. I'm unsure as to whether Nero does a full drive backup or it just backs up individual files. A better backup method is to use a second hard drive and clone your main hard drive using something like Norton Ghost.
