Get an XFire account and there are a couple full games you can get. There are a lot of demos there too. Steam also has a couple of free games if you get a Steam account, like HL2: Lost Coast and Trackmania: Nations Forever. Then again you could get a good game like BF2 for only $10, so for the price, it's actually superior to purchase a game.
