How Can I get music onto windows movie maker?

I don't want to download anything that could mess up my computer. Please give me the easiest way do this step by step. I've been trying for hours. HELP!!!!!!!

What format is the audio in?

Assuming it is compatible, you could try:

File | import into collections

Change files of type to audio (2nd option I think)

Then click the audio file you want.

Then drag that file onto the timeline, in the audio/music spot (it appears after you drag the music.

WEll actually I dont think you CAN import a song into W M M because its MOVIE maker, but if possible then you probably just have to open a song while in W M M thats probably it.
