Currently my computer is running on Windows XP home, can I upgrade to Windows XP Pro. without erase some other software that already installed into Drive C, and how. Thank you.
Answer:
Yes. Boot your computer from the Pro CD (I assume you know how), and select the option to do a "repair install". Skip creating new accounts at the end of setup, and everything should work just as it did before.
Answer:
You can … but unless you need to connect and logon to a server … you will gain very little benefit from the upgrade
Answer:
Yup you can do that.
Enjoy!!!
Answer:
Sure you can, buy the XP Pro retail or upgrade version, pop in the CD and you are off.
Question is more to do with why ? unless you need proper networking, theres really not much point.
Answer:
u can upgrade.go to microsoft site and click on xp pro.
Answer:
Yes - but why bother spending the extra money
Answer:
You can, but the only real reason (I know of) to is to have Internet Information Server or proper integration with a Windows NT Domain. Unless you need ASP you can get other internet servers for less money.
So, you can - but (as other people have said) why bother….
Answer:
