why can't I transfer the songs I have in iTunes to my windows media player. When I choose to search for music files in iTunes it doesn't find any. I tried moving them to another folder and still Windows media player doesn't find them in the folder.

Answer:
In itunes, change your music files to mp3s, then locate the files, copy them and paste them into a new folder then open with windows media player.

Here's how to change to mp3s in itunes.

Go to itunes

edit>preferences

click on the advanced tab

in the "advanced" section

click on the importing tab.

select import as mp3

close the window

then go to your itunes library

select a song

right click and choose convert to mp3

if that does not work

export the files to a cd

then import them back in as mp3s

then you can use them as you wish.

Answer:
The songs are protected by apple

Answer:
Itunes uses Mp4, not Mp3

Answer:
Try opening with real player.

Answer:
Did you buy the music from itunes? Because itunes encrypts their music so you can only play it in itunes. I recommend buying from Amazon in the future.

Answer:
maybe u should try to select the songs u want from the folder then right-click then >> play with ..>>. windows media player!

Answer:
You probably have them in the wrong format. Any songs you purchased from iTunes are going to be in Protected AAC format and therefore only able to be played in iTunes. Additionally, for any songs you've imported into iTunes from CD, if you used the iTunes default settings then they were imported as AAC format which is also exclusive to iTunes and Apple.
