Download AVG anti- virus and scan your sh*t
Answer:
Install an Antivirus program. Free online scanners are also available
http://www.housecall.trendmicro.com
http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
You can also scan your machine with hijackthis
http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/…
then post the log file on forums such as castlecops.com. People there are willing to look at the logs and tell you if they see anything suspicious, as well as removal instructions on any verified viruses.
If you are willing to do more research check out autoruns and proc explorer programs from microsoft.
technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinterna…
These two programs will help tell you what is running on your machine.

Answer:
Doing a virus scan is best but if you have all the protection you need not worry just be careful what sites you go on sometimes☺
Answer:
some viruses hide, so you can know if you have one only by running anti virus scan: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and anti spyware scan: http://www.2-spyware.com/review-spyware-…
but some viruses do damage without hesitation, so you can see data loss, corrupted programs (they won't load or crash when loaded), system alerts displayed by operating system. other malware (adware, spyware) may appear as toolbars, new icons on system tray, they may display commercial pop-ups and redirect you to malicious websites usually related to porn, online gambling and stuff.
