Answer:
A computer tech. friend of mine recommends AVAST! It blocks ALL POPUPS, all viruses (at least so far for me) and the best part IT IS FREE!! On a regular basis mine updates itself…nearly every time I turn my computer on.

Go to www.avast.com

Answer:
It's A good program. You need at lease one Internet security, and one that will perform utilities. What do you need to know? I personally love Norton better.

Answer:
recommendation? use AVG free!

Answer:
Yes, do use avg as the other person suggested. It IS a good program. If you want to pay for something: go for trend micro's product. I do not recommend mcafee. I had a bad experience with their products.

It came bundled on a PC I bought, and when I upgraded the OS, it didn't work anymore. So I bought the latest version, but it wouldn't install until I had uninstalled the old version: but the old version was like a virus. It REFUSED to uninstall and STAY uninstalled. I'd boot up, and there it would be again! Consequently, I could not install the new version and was without virus protection until I got trend micro's Virus Buster.

I will never use a McAfee product again.
