adware. get antispyware running. you can get a few good ones for free such as lavasoft's adaware and search and destroy spybot. there are more if you look on http://www.cnet.com and search for em. Also make sure yout browser has pop up blocked. Do not click on any more ads!!!
Answer:
all you have won is spyware=that is the pop ups you have.you need to run virus & spyware scans now. dont click on the flashing icon as it will give you more spyware. this tool is a great one for removal. http://www.pctools.com/en/spyware-doctor… and this free tool will speed your pc back up. http://www.iobit.com good luck.
Answer:
It's a trick. Unfortunately, people who spread malware use our greed to trick us.
Your computer has, by now, been infected with adware and likely viruses.
Use an anti-virus program (such as AVG, Avast, etc.) to scan and remove any viruses. Then use an anti-spyware program, such as Ad-Aware and Spybot - Search & Destroy to scan your computer for other malicious programs.
Lastly, please please use Firefox. You're a lot less likely to contract viruses and spyware with this browser, even with unscrupulous browsing habits.
