I keep getting an pop up on my screen that keeps telling me to download some kind of cleaner. it's popping up and turning my screen red and telling me to download pc cleaner scanner. how do i stop this.www.securepccleaner.com is the name of this thing that attached its self to my computer. Thanks

Answer:
That's a smitfraud infection.

Superantispyware removes *most* smitfraud variants.

Superantispyware: http://www.superantispyware.com/

If Superantispyware doesn't get it, then run the smitfraudfix:

You're welcome :-) Report It

Answer:
AH! your infected. the "cleaners" are just a way to get even more infected. get a legitimate cleaning software like adaware and do a scan in safe mode.

Answer:
go on the internet and click tools at the top then click on pop-up blocker and click "turn pop-up blocker on" that should work, hope it does !

Answer:
It might be leading you to buy something, but it will rip you off. It happened on my computer, but luckily I did research on it and I found out that it was ripping people off. But I suggest that you, keep "x-ing" it out if you can. I did that with my computer and eventually it went away.

Answer:
Its spyware, use a spyware cleaner to remove it. You can try using Ad Aware Se (free edition)

Answer:
Unfortunely you cant stop it….it is an attempt to attack your computer….and kind of pc cleaner program that has to force its self upon your computer is sum kind of malicious program…just be very careful with those….there are sum that have a ''button switch''…which means that it will ask or prompt you to download it…and the no will actually be yes….when ever u get sumthing like that just click the ''x'' button on the top right corner….

hope this helps!!!

Answer:
Ignore it - its spam trying to get you to download their cleaner. Enable your pop up blocker and that will stop most of your pop ups. Install a good sypware protector, or the free one from windows - Windows Defender. Make sure your Anti Virus is up to date, and thats about all you can do.

Answer:
Run an anti-spyware scan to check for adware, and whatever you do, don't download it!
