I’ve just put “PC World wide web Tools Security” onto my personal and since I installed it every thing is running very slow, I have defraged and got rid of progs I no longer need,
Can any one suggest a way of speeding things up?

Hi Ste,
Easy answer might be to uninstall it and find a more “light weight” solution for your Computer. Are you running Windows XP? If so there's a free Personal computer Health-Check for Windows XP Systems at My Slow PC - just click on the link in the source and choose “PC Health-Check” from the menu. If you post your report on their forum them can help offer advice. There's also an example report you can see linked below.
Otherwise consider:
1.) Disk cleanup
2.) Chkdsk
3.) Defrag
4.) Scan for and remove spyware/adware
5.) Uninstall programs you don't use anymore
6.) Stop services/processes at startup that you don't need
7.) Check your hardware - do you’ve enough RAM for example?
I hope this helps, let me know if you’ve questions.
Good luck!
Answer:
If you all ready have too many begin up programs running on your personal and then you add World wide web Security then it's going to slow down your computer especially when it uses a lot of shields. You can either tune off some of the shields or you can try doing this.
1. Defrag Hard drive
2.Delete all temporary files
3.Shut down too many begin up programs
4. Fix registry errors
5.Check for Spyware and other malicious programs
6. Check for program conflict. Make sure you have only one
anti-Virus program and only one firewall and only one anti-Spyware program running.
7. Add more RAM or memory to your personal
8. get a faster processor
9. Check World wide web connection make sure you’re getting a strong signal.
10.Uninstall any program on your computer you don't use anymore or you’ve never used .
Download CCLEANER it can take care of some of your problems like deleting temporary files and fixing registry errors.

Ideal to see how many free space you have left in the hard drive that you placed it in. I think it is usually under the C Drive, go to My Computer, right click on C Drive and click Properties to see how much free space and how much you’ve used.
You could go to My Personal, right click on C Drive, click Properties, click on Disk Cleanup under the General tab. Click on the boxes which you want to cleanup after it has loaded and click OK.

I've got it but I don't have any problems with it so far it shouldn't be slowing anything down. I would try un-installing it and try re-installing it. Deleting your browser history/cookies/and temp world wide web files sometimes helps.
