If somebody has their on website can they see how many times you access it even if you don't sign in? Like through the IP address? Thanks

Answer:
I'm sorry, but the top two responders are not 100% correct.

Web hosts log everything. Most web servers (Apache, IIS, etc) log all accesses to the site. Visiting the page one time doesn't give one hit…there can be multiple connections to a web page with a single visit, since a connection is required to download various content to your browser. Every visit is identified by the source IP address that you're visiting from. Signing in is not necessary.

Now, they doesn't mean they can tell it's *you* specifically. Most IP addresses can provide a general geographic location (you can see this on pages with ads that say “Find a date in [your town]!” They're geolocating your IP address to the address owner). If your ISP provides a dynamic IP, they probably would never be able to find you directly. if you have a fixed IP, it might be easier, but there would have to be some public record that says the IP address belongs to you.

However, unless the owner of the site has turned off ALL logging, yes, they know where you're coming from, no matter how vague that information might be.

Answer:
They have the ability to see that 'someone' has visited it.

They have the ability to see what IP that 'someone' had.

If they know your specific IP and compare it the internet logs, then yes they would know it's you.

So in the past if you've visited from your IP and logged in then a footprint has been left that associates your username to that IP.

Fortunately IP's change so unless they know you are on a static IP they would only be speculating if that's you or a different customer using the same IP.

Also keep in mind proxy services will footprint their IP for hundreds/thousands of people if they’re all using that proxy, as in AOL uses proxies to serve data to their customer.

Answer:
They can, but it wouldn't be very simple to do, especially if you don't have a static IP (that means it never changes - usually done in an office). They would have to have analytics of some kind set up to do it. Unless they're selling something or making money off the site, the most likely don't. You can find out. Just go to view -> source and you can see the code on the back side of the page. You will see code that states “urchan” or “google” in it if there’s a popular analytics program set up.

Anyway, to answer your question, the chance is very small…

Answer:
Probably yes as there are all sorts of programs and spy devices available nowadays! You can right click your mouse on properties and find out if someone is spying on you. they'll likely have a free email account like hotmail or freemail some even use yahoo under an alias name! You can get a cybertracker disc to track those that are spying on you! I’ve one!

Answer:
If that have some kind of security on the page then yes. Usually the security is on the login pages. So if you just look around on the site and never log in they probably won't be able to see it was you.
