When I turned on my computer Firefox updated to a new version, so I decided to browse the Add Ons & I saw Dr.Web anti-virus link checker 1.0.18:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox…

I was wondering if this works on messages in your Email that you think might be Spam? If not, is there another way to scan messages in your Email?

Answer:
you can try it, if you don't like just remove the plugin

Answer:
It's not a spam blocker. If you're using web e-mail they already have filters in place to get the majority of the spam. If you're running a competent Antivirus program, you don’t need that plugin (and I wouldn't suggest installing it either, it'll make browsing a lot slower).

Avast Antivirus - http://www.avast.com/ - is totally free (registration is free, you get a code that lets you use it nag-free for a year and can continue to get codes indefinitely, so renewal is not a problem either) and it has realtime scanners running to protect just about everything on your system. Your browser is one of those things it Monitors and protects. It will also protect you from email (even web e-mail).

Answer:
It does not. If you want to scan messages, get an Antivirus. Something is for free like AVG Free @ free.avg.com

Answer:
used avg or even avira to scan messages in your Email.. ^_^
