Have spent hours trying to find out how to get rid of this, but there looks like no simple solution. Anyone know what's going on with this?

Vista Antivirus 2008 is a clone of Antivirus 2008, both of which are rogue anti-spyware programs (corrupt spyware removers, which can't remove s***).

It can usually be removed using SmitfraudFix:

Or you can try manually, but it's not really recommended:

installed a video codec that come with Trojan, malware and virus.
