I'm not very happy as I keep getting this deadly Trojan on my computer when I do a scan with Avira, Avast and AVG anti-virus yet I can't delete the virus because my computer crashes when the file is deleted cause its needed for the personal to run and I reinstalled windows XP 4 times yet I still get the virus…its annoying cause I take such good care of my personal like I never download anything or go too any harmful websites yet I still end up with this deadly virus that I don't know what to do about. Any recommendations?

side effects of the virus-

-Some sounds aren't coming from the personal.

-I can't put the personal into safe mode.

-I can't set a password for my account cause it changes automatically so I can't log on.

-My computer sometimes randomly freezes (never happened before the virus.)

-I can't do a windows updates or else it crashes.

-I can't do a system restore.

Answer:
What’s it?

Malware – short for malicious software, it is used to cause damage to a single computer, server, or personal network. Personal viruses, worms, trojan horses, most rootkits, spyware, dishonest adware, and other malicious and unwanted software are all types of malware that can infect your personal. But it is worth noting that very few malware instances are actual viruses (less than 20%).

What to do about it?

A virus scanner is the most common tool for prevention. These scanners have “real-time protection” enabled; which scans the program before it runs and if the program has malicious code than it is stopped before the chance of execution. Common sense is another huge factor in determining whether or not malware gets into your computer. If an executable computer program is attached to your e-mail and you’re unsure of the source, then it should be deleted immediately. Do not download any applications or executable files from unknown sources, and be careful when trading files with other users.

What about some free protection?

***NOTE*** Let it be known that you must have only one virus protection / firewall working on your personal or serious conflicts will occur! You MUST un-install your current virus protection suite before continuing installing another. “But what if my old one is already expired?” It does not matter, divorce it anyway…

Anti-Virus…

I would go with Avira. It has the ideal ratings out of all the “free AV protection”, and even some of the paid for ones.

Adware and Spyware…

This program only offers on demand scan I would suggest it. (Use at least one AS/A)

Stopping it before it comes…

Firewall…

Rootkit…

I would use:

Sysinternals RootkitRevealer, Panda Anti Rootkit and BlackLight

You want to make sure that all you programs are constantly updated and patched to prevent attackers from entering through software weaknesses.

Good Luck.

Answer:
if you have already reformat the pc, the pc should be clear without any Antivirus. Did you install TWO Antivirus together? If you did, uninstall any 1 of it. Only ONE Antivirus is granted.

Answer:
you can go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and do thier online scanner. it will also tell you how to delete what virus and or spy/malware you’ve.

Answer:
Antivirus don’t remove a trojan you need trojan removing software as they’re not the same thing
