I installed spybot for free it scanned my computer but to clean I need an activation code do I have to pay for it?

Maybe it only scans your computer for free but does not clean it for free. There are many great free anti-spyware programs, but I would recommend you Ad-aware 2007, it's the most popular and effective free anti-spyware on download.com. I added a link so you could easily download it.

Edit: You would be better off to wait a little while for the next version, v1.5.2. This current version 1.5.1.15 is buggy; it takes forever to start and will just aggravate you. For the activation code yes, but to heal the infected files no. Spybot, even the trial version, should heal files.

I used to have both Spybot and Ad-aware and there were always more spyware picked up by Ad-Aware
It's excellent
You can locate the site by entering either AD-Aware or Lavasoft in your search engine.
You will find it very simple to do just make sure you choose the "free" version and not the "professional" version
