I am in safe mode, but the account still has a password. I know i can remove the password as i am logged in as an administrator, but i do not wish to remove the password, however, only to know what the password is. Is there any way to use command prompt for this? Thank you for any help.
Answer:
Windows stores all .PWL File Extension files in System Files, That is a list of passwords used for the main Windows login, dial-up and network passwords, and other programs such as NetMeeting; stored in an encrypted format in the Windows directory; used to automatically authenticate the user for login screens after the "Remember Password" option has been checked. Try Proactive System Password Recovery 4.8 from download.com ,it will recover most types of Windows passwords: logon password (when user is logged on and has Admin privileges), .NET Passport password, SYSKEY startup password, passwords in cached credentials, screensaver password, RAS and dial-up passwords, passwords to shared resources
Answer:
take your computer to your local tech guy,
he can probably retrieve the password for you
Answer:
i am logged in as an administrator= if you did able to log in as administrator, then the administrator's password is blank (as normally it's blank). if there is a password for that, i don't think you will be able to log in as administrator. lol Book Mark it-> del.icio.us | Reddit | Slashdot | Digg | Facebook | Technorati | Google | StumbleUpon | Window Live | Tailrank | Furl | Netscape | Yahoo | BlinkList
