My computer is starting to freak out. I am getting SO many pop ups, a lot of porn ones. Do you know of any effective and free ways to get rid of this? thanks

First you need to get rid off all the adware. Use a free program called Ad-Aware:

Do a full indepth scan with it and the afterwards delete everything quarantined. Restart your computer.

These above are what I use daily to fight this battle. Firewall Plus is also freeware and works with Spyware Doctor.They have a done a great job stopping stuff from coming or trying to call home from your system.
Also I recommend using IE 7 or better. Also Ad Muncher somes strange but it has been around for years and the program really does a excellent jobs on commerical ad and most important stopping popups.
