They used to work. They don't work on either firefox or world wide web explorer. I’ve adobe reader installed.
What could be the problem?

What do you mean “they don't work”? They don't open in the browsers? Can you download and open the PDF in Acrobat Reader?
I'm assuming you are using Windows, and that you tried shutting down and restarting your computer.
If you haven't changed your browser settings, you may want to try re-installing Acrobat Reader. If it still doesn't work, trying re-installing the browser.
