Answer:
it will work i think at the lowest setting
Answer:
No. Your CPU and video card are super low-end. 2GB of RAM would be ideal.
Even at the very lowest settings you can set it, it will still be slow.
Answer:
don't let this other guy lie to you, yes, you can, your computer is quite capable of running it. you could, however, stand a little more ram, especially if you're running vista,
Answer:
You've got a dual-core processor, which is good as PCSX2 benefits from them. Unfortunately is the slowest dual-core processor made for the PC, which is not so good.
You should be able to run it but don't expect most games which work properly to run at full speed. The GeForce 8500 won't help there either as it is a low-end DirectX 10 card, though it is probably fast enough to handle PS2 games.
My computer (CPU is an Athlon 64 X2 4400 overclocked to 5000 equivalent) would struggle with many PS2 games in PCSX2, and it is likely to be another year before most PS2 games can run on new hardware at full speed all the time (thanks to a combination of faster PC hardware, and optimisations in PCSX2 itself) though preventing crashes will take a lot longer to fix.
Edit: someone mentioned needing more RAM. That's bull (ram, bull, we could soon have a farmyard
1GB is more than enough for PCSX2 (unless you're running Vista, which you shouldn't be on that box), the single most important component is the CPU, followed by the graphics-card. 2GB will do no harm but is unnecessary for PCSX2.
