i have a micro sd card and whenever i try to put music or pictures from my pc on to it or use it in my camera it states the disk is protected and i cant do anything with it…is this normal?

There should be a mini slide lock on it some where. its a switch to turn on or off the access.

Yes, there should be a slide lock on the side of your Micro SD card. Just switch it to “unlock” and you'll be good to go!
