I currently have my laptop on mute. Usually the volume icon is at the bottom of my screen on a kind of tool bar. But it's vanished!? Where can I find it? I want to turn the sound up.
Thanks.
Answer:
If in Windows, go to control panel, Sounds and Audio Properties, and you will see a 'Place volume icon in the taskbar”. If its already checked, uncheck it, press OK. go back in and recheck it and press ok. it should come back.
Answer:
If it's Vista reboot first, mine does that from time to time and the reboot repairs it. Otherwise right-click the taskbar and go to properties. Then on the “notification area” tab check the box for Volume.
If it's XP go to control panel and volume control, then check the box “show icon in taskbar” or “show icon in notification area”
Answer:
control panel, then sounds and audio devices , then click show in task bar .ok.
Answer:
Go to the control panel and then to audio in xp or sound in vista.
