I need a new laptop because the one my father has for the
family is awesome, but we all have to share it and i dont get very long. I’m starting working so i can save up for one. Whats a good, fast laptop that i can play Runescape, youtube, and myspace on, that doesnt cost a fortune?

Try getting an Acer. It's reasonably priced for a new laptop. It has quite a good specs for that kind of price that you are paying for. It's quite slim and handy, too!
By the way, I've got 2 from them and they've been fine.

Here's a few tips. Don't buy reburbished, even though price is attractive. Look for a computer that is worth the money, don't get an AMD sempron or and Intel Celeron (they are worthless the minute you open the box in my opinion). Get an Intel Core 2 Duo, they are so, so much superior for multimedia (and gaming). An AMD Turion 64X2 is alright but not as good. If the laptop is to be a Vista OS, then get at least 2 GB of ram as Vista sucks ram like crazy. IBM makes amazing/best and very high-priced Laptops. For budget, I hate to say it, but a Dell purchased with a coupon is hard to beat. Sign up for their newsletter, and they’ll send you good coupons for Laptops. Also try alliedtek.com as they sell open box (*not refurb) Dell Laptops at really good prices (they are like a Dell clearance centre), I just bought a Dell Vostro Laptop from alliedtek with upgraded WSXGA screen, 2 GB ram, Nvidia 8600GT video card, Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2 Ghz, Free fall sensing harddrive, Webcam, etc.. for just over $800 and you can pay a lot less if you skimp on Graphics card. They worked great for me, takes a few days for them to secure your laptop from Dell. I've also heard bad reviews of Alliedtek as well, its up to you. You can get decent deals also from NCIX.com and Tiger Direct.ca
