Used to be true, but modern technology has removed the "over-charging" problem. With modern laptops, it will actually extend the life of your battery to keep the AC power plugged in at all times, as your battery has a finite amount of charge cycles. So, keeping it running on AC power saves those cycles.

I don't have any idea about that. What i know when you plug on the power plug your laptop performance will be much better. So for sure i'm plug on the power. But still there's no problem to the battery

I have had the power cord plugged into my Dell Inspiron 9300 for over 3 years now with the battery in and no problems.
