tower from them with 1.28 ram…..cd writer, external dvd player and has a lot of space on the c drive……is that good? how much should i pay for it……..thank you guys

To fully answer your question, you need to say what you plan to do with the Computer. Web surfing, Gaming, video editing, music storage, Picture editing, etc…
However, some basic things to remember when getting a Computer.
1) Ensure the processor is a Dual Core (mean at least 2 processors in one). Some are even quad core. Avoid single core.
2) Ensure the Hard Drive spins at 7200rpm. Hard drives are the slowest devices in a Personal computer. If your is slower than 7200rpm, your whole PC will feel slow.
3) 2 Gigs of Ram (Memory) or more.
4) If you plan to do any video/picture editing or gaming, it must have a dedicated quality video card. Integrated video should only be if Web surfing is what you want to do.
As for manufactures, HP, Dell, Gateway, Compaq… they are all about the same. If you want more quality, then think about Alienware Personal computers, but they cost more.
