I just recently did system restore because my computer was really messed up and now i need help with a wireless world wide web connection. There are 3 computers in my house and 2 of which are connected to the connection, but i cant get the 3rd personal connected because i need the passphrase since there’s a WPA on it(i wrote it down somewhere…and lost it). So if anyone could help me connect to it, i would really appriciate it! Thanks!
Answer:
Go to one of the personal that is connected open your internet browser (explorer or whatever) and type in the IP address of your router. It will be something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 it depends on the manufacturer. When you type in the correct address you’ll be connected directly to the router and you’ll be able to look through the menus and find the passkey.
Answer:
Yeah, you needed to keep that.
You might have to plug one of the machines directly into the router, surf to the router (use your internet browser, and put in the IP address of your router).
See if it has an option to reset the password.
If not, you might have to figure out how (and if) you can flash the routers memory to reset it back to factory, and then set it all up from scratch.
Good luck!!
Answer:
Depending on the router you might be able to view the actual key value if you log into the router and go into the security section. If you can't see the actual value you can usually set up another segment with a different key value to use on your third personal.
Answer:
log onto the wifi router and look at the password page nd retreive the WPA key. If you cannot retreive the key, just reset it to a new one.
