My dad loaded a program for my sister onto my laptop without my knowledge, and now when I go to open any program, the tiny icon/depression thing that shows up on the bottom of my screen along the start icon shows up on the right side of the screen rather than the left. (Please pardon my lack of knowledge of technical terms.)
I have a Compaq computer with Windows Vista, and basically, my question is: how can I make the icon for programs appear on the conventional left side of the taskbar rather than the right for ease of access when opening and reducing programs?
If you need any more info, please let me know.
Thanks for the help!
Answer:
1. Don't panic, nothing is broken.
2. What happened is that your Swift Start bar was moved, to put it back do the following:
-Right click on the bar at the bottom of your screen, choose Properties.
-Make sure “Unlock the Taskbar” is NOT checked.
-Make sure “Show Swift Start” IS checked.
You will now be able to drag and drop the Quick Begin bar back to the position you like ideal.
