I want to know if their is a way to separate your hard drive into to portions ? And if their is how ? I want to install linux on the one part and widows on the other!

When you reformat your computer, it will ask you if you want "partitions". Select "yes" and then tell it what size to make each partition. Then it will ask you which partition to install Windows on. After Windows installs, install Linux using the 2nd partition.
You can also get software to partition your hard drive without reformatting, but that can cause data insecurities & I wouldnt recommend it.
Google search "partitioning hard drives" and you'll find alot of tips & how too's.

Yes it is very easy, you can easily do it.
First of all back up all data in a secure external place
Have a windows XP bootable CD and now as it will start
it will ask for partitioning
partition ur hard disk into number of rooms
and as u want Linux and windows
so partition in two
and remember first install Windows and then Linux
I suggest to load Ubuntu Linux 7.04
Install Linux first and then windows is little tough
so first install windows and then Linux
and ur system will be dual boot
u can also use Partition Magic to partition ur hard disk
and plz search also for something on google.com
