Can anyone tell me what this message that just pops up means please?

Hi,
It is an on-line virus protection system.
If you have not installed it then you need to install some adware and pop up blockers, such as Lavasoft's ad-aware for example.

If you have it installed then perhaps it is trying to perform an update?
