this is what keeps coming up every time i try to restore system ///system restore did nit complete successfully. your computer system files and setting were not changed details::

You should try system restore in boot menu in safe mode. You should also log in as administrator.

I assume you are running Vista if your computer is only a month old. Run the system restore in Safe mode.
