Okay, so I have this dell laptop and every 15 minutes it logs off if I don't touch my mouse and it sucks because I like to play the sims2 and when it logs of I have to turn my computer off and back on because it messes up the game. I was wondering how to change this setting so it will last longer so I can go upstairs without turning off the game.

You need to change the power settings for your laptop. To do this click Start -> Control Panel -> Power Settings. From there you can control how long your computer should be idle before it sleeps. Just set everything to never and it will stay powered up all the time. Additionally, disable any screensavers you may have on.

goto control panel / power options, you will see the settings for "on ac or plugged in" and for "on battery" just set the plugged in settings to always on or a couple hours or what you want.
If it's the screensaver coming on just right click on your destop and select properties and you can disable the screensaver there.

right click
properties
click the tab screen saver
then you adjust the time next to wait and make sure that the box next to it (on resume password protect ) is NOT checked
