yes,,,its keep slowing for some reason,, it was fast before but now its like disconnecting and then working and then slowing down,,, gosh what is wrong with this thing,,, it was fast and connected and everything
Answer:
If the connection is slowing, check the signal strength icon in the system tray (lower right hand corner usually). If it shows a low signal, you are either too far away or something is interfering with the signal. 2 common household items that can cause interference are microwaves and some cordless phones. They operate near the same frequency (think channel) as many routers (2.4Ghz) and can cause severe interference. The high frequency at which the network operates is a relatively weak signal when it comes to penetrating walls, floors, brick, etc. The composition of the building you are in could have a huge effect. Ex - older homes with plaster walls have "chicken wire" behind the plaster. This makes what's called a Faraday Cage, blocking radio signals. I would recommend looking into a high quality antenna for the router and/or pc in question if your budget permits. Make sure your connection is encrypted though, as anyone within as much as up to a mile could connect to your network.
Also, If it is a laptop and the battery is getting low, this may restrict the performance of the network adapter in the laptop.
Answer:
