Okay, funny story.
So, my computer starts not working. *Ugh* So anyway, I call the Apple “Help Hotline” to get help. The guy who answers (finally after being on hold for what seems like two hours) has this incredibly thick accent, and I can't comprehend him! It was SO humiliating! I'm sitting there making him repeat everything 50 times, and I gave him my number and junk like they ask you to do, then he states something like “… … computer” He repeated that 5 times and I'm making dumb excuses like, “Sorry, my computers turning on, it's loud” or “My tiny brother is being annoying, hold on” (joke is, I don't even have a tiny brother!) and so, finally, I panicked and hung up. I didn't know what else to do and I felt guilty and embarrassed asking him to repeat everything, and now I feel even MORE guilty and embarrassed for hanging up!
So, since I didn't get my computer fixed, *ugh*, I want to call back. Any tips for when this happens again? Thanks so much!
Answer:
Tell the person on the line that you have trouble understanding him, and ask for another service rep. They usually don't like this, cause it shows they can't provide the service due to language issues. However, you are entitled to proper service, so ask for it (demand it - the worst they have the ability to do is hang up on you).
If all else fails, email (from another computer of course) to your vendor's support and explain the problems you are having with their phone service. Odds are someone in your own country will call you (or give another number to call).
I had a slightly different issue, with a satellite TV provider, got a fellow from India that stated I could not do this or do that, so I said I'll cancel because of what he was telling me. Next thing I knew, I was onto account support only a hundred miles away, talking “my” english, and I got everything I wanted…. I even got a phone “survey” several days later, asking if I was satisfied - which I was once I talked to the right person.

I have the same problem when I’ve to ring Microsoft. I usually get someone with a strong Indian accent and can't understand them. So I just hand the phone over to my wife who use to work with someone from India.
All I have the ability to recommend is that you ask them politely if you can speak to someone from a European country or who doesn't have a strong accent. Just explain that you’re having trouble understanding them. I know it sounds rude, but you want your computer fixed and that's why they are there.
Answer:
calm down. they knew that risk when they signed up for the job. now the next time you call you might not get the same guy. if you do he'll probably wont remember. people hang up on these guys about 20 times a day. just do what you did before. it's not your fault. good luck

Sissy, you wont get the same person again! Or try to find a mac online help chatting, where you like IM each other! I did that for my phone because i was on hold for soooooo long it was making my phone bill a million bucks!
