I was on dial up. Yesterday I signed up for dsl. Anyone have pics of how to install it? The disk don't tell me how, it just explain what it is.

Behind my personal I’ve two phone jacks do they suppose to be filled? I use to have one jack filled with my phone cord and the other end to my wall phone jack….does that make sense??? Help needed thanks.

Answer:
The 2 phone jacks you mention are the modem that you used for dial up. You won't be using those at all for the DSL connection.

The DSL modem should connect to your personal by either and ethernet cable (looks like a phone cable connector but is slightly larger) or a USB port. You plug a phone line into your DSL Modem and connect power.

They probably also sent you some DSL filters. You install these on phone lines you might have that won't be connected to your DSL modem. For example a phone. You install these by unplugging the phone from the jack, plug the filter into the jack and then plug the phone into the filter.

I hope this helps.

Answer:
First of all u need a modem, u can purchase it without wifi (wireless internet) for as low as $ 40 AUD. just purchase it and plug the phone jack into the filter and plug two cables on to the phone and another to the modem and you'll get an Ethernet cable just plug that in the back of ur Computer ( it should have an Ethernet plug). If u need help just email me, or if u live somewhere around Sydney i can drop by to help u out bro.
