I want to open the ftp port in my personal. And then detect the open ftp port in my personal and then try to access it.

How can this be done? Firstly, how can I set up and ftp server?

Plz try to explain the procedure for this experiment.

Answer:
To answer your first question - “what ports are open” - go to GRC.com and use Shields Up. That’ll allow you to see what ports are open

As far as opening and playing with FTP.

1. Get an old machine, load Linux on it. Use it as your FTP server. Google Howto setup FTP for detailed instructions

2. Once your FTP server is set up, you should be able to access it from your personal on your LAN

DO NOT open your routers FTP port or expose your server to the Internet until you have a better understanding of what is going on. Until you do, putting your server on the web, Linux or not, will result in your machine being attacked before you can load a file.

Answer:
Try the program cports from nirsoft to see a list open ports on your system.
