is the components that matter ,eg Processor type, graphics card, and amount of Ram, rather than the Brand name. I am thinking of brand names like, Dell, Hp, Packard Bell, Compac, etc. Would appreciate informed thought as I’m looking to purchase new family Pc. Thanks

Answer:
dont be fooled by the big names.. its whats on the inside that matters most pc manufacturers are all using the same main components….superior to build your own. for a lot less dosh than buy a huge brand name as most times your paying for software you dont want or will never need…………………..http://www.dabs.com/?tduid=3ad5e76d15dee… see this website for details on components although there many more to choose from shop around for the ideal deals my current pc cost me less than £200 to buy the same from a local personal shop would cost me 3 times as much. also building your own also means you already have a lot ofthe components in your old one like cd drives, case, memory, monitor, HDD etc

Answer:
Both matter if you're looking for a prebuilt Computer. The components matter because not every card is as reliable as the other, and the PC brand matters in relation to price, quality of the build, and of course helpdesk.

I myself have built every Computer I've had myself so far, so I can't really help you on the companies. Just read up on other peoples experiences on the web with certain companies and go from there.

Answer:
you can actually customise your personal when you purchase it. search the internet. naturally, the superior the specification, the expensive it'll get

Answer:
It's just the components. Brands don't mean anything. The brands of the components do - however - companies that build aren't really that good. They are made for the lower end user…

Answer:
II have used Hewlett Packard for many years ,great pc on-board help service.Never a problem.Just bought a touchscreen ,fantastic pc.
