Just built a brand new personal. Down in the right hand side of windows xp it states “Acquiring Network Address” even though I have the ability to browse the web. Sending out an average of 20 Million packets, and receiving 545 million packets. Something is definitely up with this….

have you updated all your service paks and stuff like that? maybe it is trying to update or you are being a zombie for somebodys spam harvest. is your firewall enabled or do you’ve a 3rd party one?

well it might be wat i have but ther meay be nothing wrong i have a wireless router and when im not on the net i recieved like 30 packets and send around 30,000 so it maybe nothing but if this is happening when u were on the net….
