yes but usually they will rate it at megaBITS per second. Not Bytes. The firewire drive i have is rated at 400Megabits and thats only about 20Megabits. They find a way to rip you off.

That's data transfer speed. World wide web won't ever get fast for you. Moving a file from your Personal computer to a laptop can get 54 mps (though that's typically FAR higher than it will get) but unless your internet is the fastest I've ever heard of, it'll stay being as fast as it is now.

That's the maximum connection speed for the wireless router. Your broadband connection doesn't get anywhere near that speed so it's not much of an issue.
