my computer got hit with a few trojans last week, they’re gone now, but since then my personal has been very slow loading websites. most of the time they won't load at all. it's so annoying.
My monthly download limit has not been reached so I know it's not that, and if I check my internet connections the broadband speed is at full speed (100.0 Mbps) as it always has been since I first got it. Does anyone know any other reasons why it is so slow? please, I'm so close to throwing the personal out the window, thanks
Answer:
do a full virus check and turn off system restore this is ware they normally hide they will still be there i garentee it use a good Antivirus proggrame like avast or avg norton is particularly bad in this area
and at will always state you have 1oomb as this is the connection to your router and not your internet
Answer:
I'm not computer literate but a) even if you cleared a trojan attack, there are some remnents within the files or other installed programing that remain attached, meaning that you may have to get someone to purge your system, or b) your “broad”band is suffering that time of the month.
Answer:
if you use bell for internet then it could be them slowing you down they’ve the capability to pick and choose who gets fastest access based on what they are and have been using their world wide web for.
Try defragmenting your comp.
Answer:
Download a Spyware removal tool. Virus protection utilities don’t catch all variants. I suggest Spy Sweeper, but ad-aware is free and works decent enough.
